Mills-Peninsula created Senior Focus in 1985 to help seniors protect their independence, with education about how to stay healthy and services to assist when challenges appear. Nearly 20 years later, Senior Focus has matured into a trusted resource for families and a highly regarded partner and advisor for local agencies and organizations.

Representing the best current thinking about healthful aging, Senior Focus serves as educator, service provider and advocate for elders in the community, in the hospital and at home.

Held to a Higher Standard
Because Senior Focus is part of Mills-Peninsula, the programs and services it offers are held to a higher standard. For example, rehabilitation, medical day care, Alzheimer’s care, mental health and chemical dependency services meet the same stringent staffing and quality qualifications demanded of Mills-Peninsula’s hospital programs.

More Than Day Care
There is yet another benefit to Senior Focus’ Mills-Peninsula parentage. Participants in Senior Focus medical day programs benefit from much more than day care. While recreation and social contact are important, the added value is that a team of licensed clinical specialists work on specific goals to help people maintain their highest level of independence. These are services not found at other programs.
